By All to Jesus I surrender all to Him I freely give
Was my hearts desire and promise the day I decided for Him I’d live
Yes, all meant everything, word, thought, and deed
Not one thing ever would I hold back, Lord Jesus my life please lead
Surrender meant completely submitting to my Gracious Loving Guide
No matter what trials would come my way I’d stay close to His side
I’d put on the whole armour of God so I’d be able to stand
Against all the devil’s temptations and the evils known unto man
Having my loins girt about with Truth was the first thing on my list
But the cares of this world sidetracked me somehow and the Bible is what got missed
Soon my breastplate of Righteousness tarnished and the Gospel of Peace that I wore
Took a backseat in my conversations, I hardly mentioned my God anymore
The Shield of Faith that I used to use to quench all the fiery darts
Hung limp at my side for to hold it up right had brought too many mocking remarks
So the darts flooded in, wounding my soul causing me to trip and to fall
Lying there in the mire all bloody and bruised I heard my Saviour call
My child, come unto me and I will give you rest
Surrender your all to me once again and you will be truly blessed
On that day He saved me from death, His Blood washed away all my sin
Into His loving arms I did run and now I’m His child again
I will prove all things, hold fast that which is good and I will rejoice evermore
Abstain from all appearance of evil and in everything give thanks to the Lord
All to Jesus I surrender every day for Him I’ll live
Heart, soul, mind and strength, yes to Him my all I give!
