Ghostly Figures…

My favorite style of writing is for those who feel deeper than the ocean mentioned, have endured greater storms than those depicted. Those who have drowned countless times in the sea of aching loneliness and those who’s hearts can read the body language of the ghostly figures that dance between the lines of written word. Each graceful move depicting the delicate feelings expressed only in shadows. Their mournful song echoing from page to page, whispering of a life filled with emotion, hidden below the surface of view yet felt in the souls of all who understand the meaning of depth.

Perception is the key, able to unlock the door and catch a glimpse of who the writer truly is behind the facade of words. Behind a smoke screen of sentences lies the heart, shattered into a million pieces. Each piece bearing fragmented bits of the past, beautiful and ugly, harsh and soft, cold and warm, all inner twined with thoughts and dreams yet to come… strewn across pages like leaves in the wind… scattered like wild flower petals… and understood only by those who take the time to feel… those who love drowning in the rain just as much as dancing in the sun… it is for those, that I write!
